{Starting again}...

Yesterday I did it... I went into my normal group and started again. Sitting down this morning eating my breakfast there's a strange sense of excitement and one of relief that I am staring from fresh. I have the know how to loose weight with Slimming World and I have a fantastic consultant who inspires me so much and the group I attend has become just like a family.

Here are the ways that help me stay on track.

{Firstly}... Really get to know your book understand what the symbols mean. For me the book is essential in the first few weeks and stays in my kitchen so I can look up any foods that I'm using. S and P foods are great to pack into every meal and to snack on too.

{secondly}... Planning all my meals and snacks really works for me. It allows me to make sure I have everything in the kitchen for the meals I am cooking. I find that I really struggle if I don't know what I am having to eat and this is often when my choices for meals turn bad. I also like to plan my snacks and healthy extras for each day. I tend to use my syns only for treats and have as many syn free meals as possible. I also countdown my syns from 105 throughout the week. I also write everything down that passes my lips. This not only helps me keep to plan but for those weeks when I haven't quite got the loss I wanted I can look back to a week that was awesome and maybe have the same meals.

{Thirdly}... Its always handy to have some stickers around the kitchen to write the syn values on the food in  which you had to work the syns out. This means that if you do need something to grab and go you don't need to waste time searching for the syns. I also place stickers on the food which is in my treat basket so I know the exact value for each treat.

{Lastly}... I'm one of those weird people that like to take pictures of there food. I do it everytime I have a meal, I then post the picture of what I'm eating on to my Instagram account. Its a great picture diary but its also nice to share with others what you are eating. I also get inspired by the meals I see others eating and also pick up a few new recipes along the way. Instagram also has a great sense of community within the #slimmingworld. Why not take a look at my account cakemethinsw, my profile is lacking pictures at the moment as I took the decision to start a new account to go with my new journey.

What are your tips to having successful weight losses on Slimming World? I would love to know...

Have a Great Day

{How did I get here????}...

I'm a new mummy with a weight that is in the very late teens. I followed slimming world all through my pregnancy and with out fail I weighed in every week of my 42 weeks of being pregnant. Up until finding  I was pregnant I was on a roll losing weight every week and the determination was there to continue throughout my pregnancy. At 20 weeks I weighed the lowest I had ever weighed with nearly a three stone loss. After having my beautiful baby I had a loss of 19 lbs. with just another stone to go until I was back to my pre-baby weight.

Three months on and I'm sitting here and I have just finished a Chinese and wondering where it all went wrong. Who do I need to kid though, I know how it all went wrong. Every time I ate something I knew I shouldn't be, in my head I would think 'this is the last time', or every comment of 'you have just had a baby you shouldn't worry about what you eat' and for that moment the food was being consumed I thought 'yeah there right'. Deep down though I hated myself for what I was doing to my body. After leaving group every Wednesday I told myself this week will be the week I will pull it back but it never happened.

This Wednesday I will be walking into the Slimming world group I attend and help at and re-registering. I'm starting fresh no more chasing the three stone I nearly had, no more beating myself up about how I got to where I am now. So here's to my fresh start the excitement of my first half stone.

I hope you can stop by from time to time to hear about my journey and how I am getting on.
